Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council seeks to appoint a suitably qualified organisation(s) / individual(s) to promote and preserve the rich history and heritage within the local community whilst developing the skills to manage both contested and shared history & heritage. The programme is designed to support people to understand their neighbours better and to explore the importance of both rural and urban traditions and how they need to work together in order to preserve and grow local communities. The tender response must address key issues such as supporting participants in understanding and sharing each other’s history and heritage, raising awareness around misinformation, providing a safe environment for exploration of history and heritage, and promoting cohesion between rural and urban communities. The project includes recruiting participants, delivering educational and skills programmes, and creating vehicles/events to support storytelling and preservation of local history and heritage.
