This specification covers the requirement of acetate rayon cloth self-adhesive black tape used in coils of Q Relays. The tape has to be uniform in width throughout the roll and edges to be firm with no loose threads. The adhesive applied on one side of the tape shall be uniform in thickness and shall be thermosetting type. Tape to be supplied in standard 55 meter rolls. The typical parameters include width, thickness, tensile strength, elongation at break, adhesion to steel, breakdown voltage, and curing cycle. The tapes will be tested by consignee/TPI as per value.
